Sequence
First call, same day
A case director, not an account manager. What must be secured before anyone is spoken to, who inside the company should know, and whether your counsel should instruct us rather than you.
The question, in writing
We reduce the matter to a question that evidence can answer, and agree it with you. Everything that follows is measured against it.
Scope and authorisation
Each measure is set out with its purpose and its duration, and cleared with counsel where the subject is an employee. You know what will be done before it is done.
Preservation
Devices, accounts, logs and documents are secured with hash values and a custody record before analysis begins. Nothing is examined on a live system.
Collection
Records, forensic analysis and field enquiries run in the order least likely to alert a subject prematurely or contaminate a later conversation.
Interviews
Held late, on documented facts, in the person's own language. Fair, calm and recorded, because an account obtained under pressure is worth nothing afterwards.
Report and briefing
Findings with the evidence behind each one, what remains open, and the realistic options. Delivered in person, then in writing.
Closure
A retention period agreed with you. Material not needed for proceedings is destroyed on schedule and the destruction confirmed in writing.
Lawful and proportionate

We work within Swiss employment and data protection law, canton by canton, and use the least intrusive measure that can answer the question. Where a matter belongs with the authorities, we say so.

Evidence, not impressions

Every finding carries its source and the date it was observed, so it can be checked without us. What we cannot prove, we report as unproven.

Discretion by design

Small teams, need to know inside our own firm, Swiss data custody, and no onward subcontracting of a mandate. Field work is done by people who have worked with us for years.

The people you meet

The case director at the first meeting runs the matter and signs the report. Nothing is passed to a junior team once the mandate is signed.

The question as instructed, and the answer
Each finding with the evidence supporting it, referenced to the exhibit
What remains open, and what it would take to close it
A record of the work performed and when
Custody log and exhibit schedule
The options in front of you, with their likely consequences

Written to be read by a managing director, used by a lawyer, and filed with an insurer or a prosecutor without being rewritten.
